This page is a summary, written to be read. TheLicence Agreement is the document you actually agree to, and the Privacy and Refundpolicies form part of it. Where this page and those differ, those govern.

Your licence

Buying Akastroid Pro grants you a permanent, non-exclusive licence to use it onone computer at a time. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Updates are included for the whole 1.x line — every release, for as long as you use it, at no further cost. A future 2.0 is a separate product and a separate purchase, normally offered to existing owners at an upgrade price.

Any platform, and you can move it. The same key activates the macOS, Windows and Linux builds — download whichever you need, at no extra cost. Changing computers is a transfer rather than a second purchase: open Akastroid on the old machine, choose Deactivate this computer, and activate on the new one. As often as you like. If the old machine was lost, sold or wiped first, write to us and we will sort it out.

Activation is recorded on your own computer, not on a server — there is nothing to phone home to. That means the one-computer limit is a term we ask you to keep rather than one the software can force, and the full agreement says so in those words rather than implying otherwise.

You may not redistribute, resell or sublicense the software, or attempt to circumvent licensing.

Your images are yours

We claim no rights over anything you process. Your frames, your stacks and your finished images are your own, for any purpose including commercial ones. Akastroid is a tool, and using a tool does not give its maker a stake in the result.

Refunds

Thirty days, no questions asked. Email us and we will refund the purchase. We would rather you tell us what went wrong, but you are not required to.

What we promise, and what we do not

For 90 days from purchase we warrant that Akastroid works substantially as described. If it does not, tell us and we will fix it or refund you.

Beyond that, the software is provided as it is. We have tested it extensively, but we cannot promise it is free of defects, that it will suit a particular purpose, or that it will produce a result you like from a given set of frames. Astrophotography has too many variables for anyone to promise that honestly. Nothing here removes a consumer right the law does not let us remove.

Keep your original frames. Akastroid reads them and does not modify them, but no processing tool should be the only copy of your data. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for the licence.

Acceptable use

Akastroid does not invent detail. It measures, aligns and combines what your telescope recorded. If you present its output as a scientific measurement, the responsibility for that claim is yours — the processing log records every decision made, and we suggest publishing it alongside.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using the software at any time. We may terminate a licence obtained fraudulently or used in breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without limiting any consumer rights you hold where you live.
