What to include
A licence problem
Quote your licence id, the six characters shown under Activate in the app, and in the subject line of your purchase email. It identifies your purchase without sending us the whole key, which you should not do.
If you have lost the key entirely, you do not need us: sign in with the address you bought with and it is there.
A refund
Send the address you bought with, or the order number, and the word “refund”. That is enough. You do not have to explain why, and we will confirm within one business day. The terms are on the refund policy.
Something went wrong with an image
The most useful thing is the processing log Akastroid writes beside every result. It records each decision and the measurement behind it, which usually says more than a description of the symptom does.
Your frames stay on your computer, and we do not want them. If a bug needs data to reproduce, we will ask, and it will be your choice.
A question before buying
Ask. It is a one-time purchase from a small operation with no sales team, and it is better to ask first than to buy and then need a refund.
Before you write
The FAQ covers what a licence includes, how it moves between computers, and what the free version does. The guides cover the processing itself, including the common ways an image comes out wrong.
Elsewhere
Akastroid is built by Akash Aggarwal, who films the observing behind it on Akash Astroverse. If you want to see the software used on real data before you buy it, that is the place.
How-to videos and full sessions processed in the app are on the Akastroid YouTube channel.
Telescope and camera makers
If you build hardware and want its files to open properly here, or a processing path shipped alongside it, see the page for manufacturers, and the same address reaches us.
